Manson moved into a home upon his release from a corrective institution, with Mary Brunner, a 23 year old graduate. Manson brought other women to live inside the home, eventually residing with 18 other females in Brunner’s house. Manson established himself as a guru during the 1967 “Summer of Love” in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury locale. Manson soon had a group of female followers who embarked on a trip in a school bus at the end of the summer.

Charles Manson met Dennis Wilson, of The Beach Boys, in late spring 1968. Wilson had picked up two hitchhiking Manson women and brought them back to his home for a few hours. The following morning, upon returning home from a night recording session, Wilson encountered Manson on his driveway who commenced kissing his feet. Inside Wilson’s home, the band member encountered 12 women who began living in his home. The Family numbers doubled over time. That’s a lot of hip hop uhren!
