Laser Light Shows

January 31, 2012 2:32pm

A laser light show basically involves the entertainment of an audience via the use of laser lights. The quantity of laser lights is completely dependent upon the wishes of the organiser who can choose to use just one. A laser light show may comprise of projected laser beams which are set to music, or the beams may accompany a dance concert, musical performance, or an assortment of other entertainment forms. The coherent nature of laser light enables a narrow beam to be created which allows patterns to be drawn on walls, ceilings, or on the smoke and fog that is generated.

The light chosen for a laser light show must be bright but can be any bulb, including gu10 led bulbs. Laser scanners basically consist of a multiplicity of small mirrors which are attached to galvanometers which then control the voltage that is subsequently applied. The amount of voltage applied correlates to the amount of times the beam is deflected.

Help from The Glaswegian

January 26, 2012 12:32pm

I have just read an amazing article on The Glaswegian which shows how we can use life insurance cover to protect our families against the risk of falling victim to the economic crisis that we currently find ourselves in. Across the world incomes are falling and unemployment is rising, there is a growing uncertainty about the future path of the world economy. This is not an abstract economic idea, but actually affects the lives of ordinary working people throughout the UK. However, help is at hand, because certain types of life insurance policy are now offering the solution that many people need.

Some permanent and term life insurance policies offer a product which protects people against unemployment. If a policyholder loses their job, the insurance benefit offers them a guaranteed level of income for a period until they get back in to work. This means people are protected against failing unemployed and losing everything that is important to them and their families. Some policies even cover mortgages or rent, so that your family will not fall homeless at a time of emotional distress.

Voice Over Internet Protocol

January 24, 2012 12:55pm

Voice Over IP, or VOIP, is a group of methodologies, communication protocols, technologies, and transmission techniques which function to deliver voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol networks. An example of such Internet Protocol networks is the Internet, a rather famous one. Internet Protocol telephony, broadband telephony, voice over broadband, Internet telephony, and broadband phone are other terms which are often used synonymously with Voice Over Internet Protocol.

Voice, SMS, Voice-messaging applications, and Voice are the communications services that ‘Internet telephony’ refers to. These communications services are transported over the Internet, instead of the public switched telephone network. So how does one go about conducting a Voice Over Internet Protocol telephone call? Basically, one must execute the digitization of the analogue voice signal, media channel setup, encoding, packetization, signalling, and transmission. Similar steps must be taken by the receiving end of the Voice Over Internal Protocol telephone call. The receiving end must receive the Internet Protocol packets, decode the packets, and makes a digital-to-analogue conversion.

Long Haul Flight!

January 23, 2012 11:41am

We're off on holiday this week, and I have the unparalleled joy of taking a long haul flight with three children under 10!

I don't like just plugging my kids into a TV or a games console or something usually, but on a nine-plus hour flight I don't mind at all, whatever keeps them from being bored, if they're entertained they shouldn't be fighting or bickering or driving us mad.

I'm looking on http://www.Adizar.co.uk for anyone selling a second-hand Nintendo DS so they each have one - my youngest doesn't have her own - so there won't be any bickering over them, though I'm sure they'll still be arguing over sharing games. Maybe I should look for anyone selling some old games too, if I can get them cheap it'll definitely be worth it. I'm sure they'd get more out of playing a new game than the older ones. As long as it gets us through the flight!

Counting down the days...

November 21, 2011 3:06pm

Most of the population under the age of 10 are counting down the days until Christmas, when finally after months of waiting they get to wake up at the crack of dawn, run into the living room to see if Santa has arrived and finally open their presents. My kids are certainly counting down the days - 33 just so you know! - but I am counting down the days until December 19th, when I finally get my Christmas holiday time off!

It's going to be a big family Christmas this year, my parents and my partner's parents are both coming for dinner in our new house for the first time, I'll spend the morning relaxing then we'll be peeling, slicing, marinating and roasting a great festive Christmas dinner while the boys play with the lego star wars sets Santa's bringing them.

I can't wait!
